RBT Hebrew Literal:
to the faces of himself she who devours fire and behind himself she blazes up the flame like a garden a period of time/Eden the Earth to the faces of himself and behind himself the word-wilderness a desolation/wasteland and also survivor not she has become to himself
RBT Paraphrase:
A fire from above vs. a flame from below
In front of the faces of himself is a fire, she who consumes and behind himself the flame is blazing up! Like a protected garden of Delight is the Earth in front of the faces of himself and behind himself is a place of words of a desolation/wasteland! and even she has not become an escaped survivor to himself!
Julia Smith Literal 1876 Translation:
Before him a fire devoured, and after him a flame shall burn; the land as the garden of Eden before him, and after him a desert of desolation; and also there was no escaping to him.
LITV Translation:
a fire devours before it, and a flame burns behind it. The land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them is a desolate wilderness; yea, also there is no escape to them.
ESV Translation:
Error retrieving verse.
Brenton Septuagint Translation:
Before them is a consuming fire, and behind them is a flame kindled: the land before them is as a paradise of delight, and behind them a desolate plain: and there shall none of them escape.
